HOME TRUTHS

  • This is a listed building, which offers many things, but unfortunately not wheelchair access above the ground floor.

  • Smoking and pets are not permitted on the premises.

  • We do have private off-road parking for one car located on Quay Street around the back of the building, approx. a 50m walk to the front door.

  • Part of the charm of the house is being situated in a working harbour and being amidst the hustle and bustle of all that entails! However, we do not have any control over what happens within the harbour or when the fishing boats come and go - sometimes in the wee hours! For most, hearing the boats loading and loading is all part of the experience, but for the lighter sleepers we recommend sleeping in our first floor bedroom, which is virtually soundproof with secondary glazing.

  • The walls are a metre thick in parts of the house which means mobile signal can be very patchy on the ground floor. The top two floors have much better reception.

  • We very much welcome families! However, with two sets of beautiful wooden stairs, limited un-enclosed outdoor space and proximity to the harbour, we do not advertise 3 Sail Loft as being suitable for small mobile children. We are happy to provide an additional single guest bed to facilitate older children where needed, but do not provide stair gates, high chairs etc.
